Our cottage accommodation is the ultimate retreat for couples, with three private, luxurious one bedroom cottages set amidst a walnut grove and park-like woodland, tussock and hosta gardens, mature shady trees, spacious lawns and views of rural scenes to the mountains beyond.

Set well apart from one another, each spacious cottage is decorated in warm earthy tones creating a light, airy feel.

Cottage guests are encouraged to bring their own provisions or Rose can supply a generous continental breakfast hamper with local produce. Each cottage has it's own gas barbecue or if you wish to dine out, the local restaurants, cafes, orchards and wineries serve the finest regional fare and award winning local wines.

Our cottages are located 3km from the Cromwell town centre and 2km from the shores of Lake Dunstan and are surrounded by the region's finest vineyards and stone fruit orchards.

We had a very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful stay. Lovely night's sleep, beautiful bed. Certainly a recommendation to friends.

Our central location just off the Wanaka to Queenstown highway means our guests can enjoy easy day trips to Clyde, Alexandra, Lake Hawea, Wanaka, Arrowtown, Queenstown and beyond.

The Otago Central Rail Trail is 25 minutes away in Clyde and there are five ski fields within an hour's drive, making us the perfect destination at any time of year.

Burn Cottage Retreat is a destination in itself, not just a place to stay.

Gift Vouchers

We offer gift vouchers if you would like to treat someone. These can be customised to suit - you might like to include some local wine, a cheeseboard or a breakfast hamper.

Pets

We have a no pets policy. This is to protect our cottages and gardens for the enjoyment of our guests and to ensure our pets can enjoy their territory without issues from other animals!

Children

As our cottages have been designed and built as a quiet retreat for adults, they are only suitable for children over 12 years of age.

Smoking

Our cottages are a smoke free environment however guests are welcome to smoke outside.
